I feel very gossip girls today.
I actually started the day by taking in this great floral vest I found at a thrift shop. Even though it's finished and it now fits me really well, I opted for another look. I can't quite work out how to wear it yet because it pinches in things that are a bit baggy funnily and it doesn't really look right with more streamlined items.
I'm sure it will come to me in a wave of inspiration as things often seem to.

<3
I had the longest day at work today. This photo is actually from yesterday, but I stayed over at my friend's house last night.
I forgot to bring almost everything (as you do) and so i had to wear this brazier under my clothes all day. NOT the most comfortable thing.
So good to come home and have a shower.
What's everyone up to for valentines day?

After all that wishing, I did manage to get the rocket ship necklace I talked about in this post. Not for Christmas unfortunately, this baby came right out of my bank account. It was a really good buy though and I love it with my other Karen Walker pendant, my little runway girl (her name is Pippie Trashcan...shhhh).

So hot!
It is amazing how people all over the world can simultaneously be experiencing such different weather. It's upwards of 32 degrees today and the sun is unbearable. In Victoria, Australia there are raging fire storms and there are even worried that similar things could happen here. It's been so hot and dry this summer with record temperatures of 42 degrees. The hills are a rusty, golden yellow that just goes on and on. I should try and go up there and take some photos just so you can experience the beauty that surrounds my city.

Even though I have lived here all my life and barely even left this country, I always think that it is the south that is out of wack from the north. I guess because we get a lot of our media and cultural images from the north. But yay! I like it this way around...all winter I watched other bloggers bathing in the warmth. The breeze through my window is like a hot, soft silk right now.
I feel like going to sleep.
My apologies for the photo quality, I don't think my camera likes all this light.
